Weiser v. Hampton , 445 S.W.2d 224, 230–31 (Tex. App.—Houston [1st Dist.] 1969, writ ref’d n.r.e.). Termination. If there is evidence of termination of a physician-patient relation ship, the following instruction may be added to PJC 50.6: A physician-patient relationship does not exist when either the physician or the patient has terminated the relationship. A patient may terminate the relationship at any time. The physician may termi nate the relationship at any time if reasonable provision for adequate medical care is made or if the patient is not in need of continuing medical care. If the need for continuing medical care is an issue in the case and a claim of aban donment is made, see PJC 51.7.
