Minor plaintiffs have no standing to assert nuisance claims based on damage to real property if they did not own the properties when the nuisance began. In re Premcor Refining Group, Inc. , 262 S.W.3d 475, 480 (Tex. App.—Beaumont 2008, orig. proceeding) (per curiam). Stand ing, however, is a matter of law for the court to decide and should not be submitted to the jury. See West v. Brenntag Southwest, Inc. , 168 S.W.3d 327, 334 (Tex. App.—Tex arkana 2005, pet. denied); see also Douglas v. Delp , 987 S.W.2d 879, 882–83 (Tex. 1999).
